The Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce announced on July 31 that its president, Ron Ketelsen, has formally resigned from the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

“Any views, statements, or opinions expressed by Mr. Ketelsen are made in his personal capacity and do not reflect the views, values, or positions of the Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce,” the Chamber added, in its statement. “We remain committed to representing our members with integrity, inclusivity, and professionalism.”
The Chamber of Commerce did not explain which of Ketelsen’s views, statements or opinions it was referring to.
Ketelsen, who is also president of the Sharon Historical Society, the owner the historic Roseboro Hotel in Sharon Springs, New York, and a Member of the Schoharie County Joint Planning Board, was interviewed in a June 12 article in Oblivioni Magazine, in which he discussed the history of Jewish life in Sharon Springs.
