Let’s imagine that in 1926, Betty Lynne Broome, one of the few women working as a cartoonist in the Jazz Age, created a short-lived comic strip about a flapper, that it started off innocently enough, but that it quickly an into censorship issues, over alcohol abuse, which was still illegal, double-entendres that the syndicate didn’t notice till it hit print, politics, women’s suffrage, and all kinds of other things. Imagine that that this comic strip was forgotten for ninety-nine years till a researcher at Oblivioni Magazine rediscovered it. Imagine that Oblivioni Magazine began to republish it on June 1, 2025. Just imagine that such a thing happened. What would it be like? What would happen next?
